In contrast to what other people believe about this article, which is “This is just another dumb alien movie”, the catch is it is NOT just another dumb alien movie and the plot is much different than those in other Sci-fi action films. In a smoky fog above Johannesburg, Africa is a massive, motionless, floating spaceship. Everyone in the world is confused as to how it got there and do not know what to do about it, so they just wait to see what will happen. Eventually, as nothing seems to be happening with the floating spacecraft in the sky, they decide to investigate. Once inside the spacecraft, they discover that over a million aliens are inside and seem lost, confused, and unable to take care of themselves. As the movie progresses, the MNU (Multi-National United) decides to put them in internment camps. The movie continues with that general plot, and seeing it in theaters will help find out the rest of the mystery. Junior Leah Mazza, who saw the movie, raved, “Yeah, I like that movie because it wasn’t what I expected it to be. It had a lot of gore in it, and action. And the aliens were awesome and the ending was amazing.”
Mazza says that she generally enjoys gore and sci-fi movies. Kirk Honeycutt of HollywoodReporter.com states, “Bottom Line: A genuinely original science fiction film that grabs you immediately, not letting go until the final shot.”
This movie had a lot of unexpected twists and turns and is not at all what everyone expected it to be thus deserved three stars out of four.
